Mull Wildlife Group

We are a group of folk who enjoy all aspects of the Nature of Mull. Our group meetings and outings are relaxed and open to everyone. We cover a wide range of subjects.

Mull Wildlife Group is a non-profit making organisation open to all. Our aim is to advance the knowledge of the public in the study of wildlife in a social context. The original club (Mull Bird Club) was inaugurated by Alan Spellman, Len White and Peter Hall in 2001.

Our objectives are;

• To hold regular meetings
• To encourage the conservation and the protection of wildlife and the natural environment.
• To encourage members to be sensitive to the environment in their activities.
• To run field trips, outings, surveys and other such activities.

…in general in general to provide a voice for nature on Mull.

Regular meetings are held from September to April, usually in the Salen church hall. There may be occasional meetings during the summer months. Several field trips usually take place each year both on and off the island. Notices advertising our meetings will be placed in “Round & About” and via e-mail to members, as well as this website.

The group is always open to suggestions and ideas for evening or daytime meetings and events so please get in touch or even come along and join us. The group is open to all ages and all individuals; visitors will be made very welcome.
